not great , i have to say, current series is weakest yet. Although, I did love the first and the last episode of the first-half of the series. Otherwise, not so great. Second half is doing well though. How about you?
I find there is a lot of talk about the doctor's death which may or may not even happen. This can't be the last series of Doctor Who so something will happen to revive him or alter his time stream or something. Either way it seems a lot of build up towards something we know he will get out of I think.
I like the light hearted single episodes though, Night Terrors was a good well rounded episode I think
Yeah I've been watching Torchwood this series too Its very different to Doctor Who, and also completely different to older Torchwood too. Seems to be something new I've been watching it just because its Torchwood at the moment, but I'll decide if I like the series as a whole when its all over
Just watched it myself. It was a bit "all summed up in the last minute" and not a lot was really explained. And there was no real antagonist either! I thought we would meet the three families all old, taking ageing tips from the Colasanto's or something. Bah! Lots could have been improved. but it was something to watch the past 10 weeks I guess.
Yeah, you bet. Doctor Isn't going anywhere, only thing is that it's interesting as to how he'll get out of this now, because it was also said that Doctor's death is a fixed point in time and it cannot be changed. in first ep of second half i think. So yeah, i hope it isnt the end or they dont do something really stupid with the character like replacing doctor with River Song or something. So it is interesting in that sense. I love the complicated story, many loathed, of the cliffhanger and season start, it was just brilliant and silents are awesome, i enjoyed them maybe a bit less than the weeping angels which happen to be my fav character from the series.
Yeah, Night terrors was good, somehow not linked to the story arc maybe. I didnt like 'The Curse of black spot' at all it was just like 'The Doctor Dances.'
First half just was a bit disappointing compared to last season. Won't even compare 11th Doctor to the Tenth though
haha yeah, mine wld still be weeping angles, they were just badass, stuff of nightmares indeed, silents seem to be at par conceptually though, you cant see one and you cant remember other. loved the latest ep though for sometime it must have shocked all when doctor agreed to saved two amys
OMG! Rory and Amy on the Bike it done so adorably! The sillouette of the Chaplin-esque Doctor makes me really smile. Loved Matt's performance for that... Well done as always, however regenerating Melody looks a little bit out of place, thats all
The antibodies made me laugh, both because they have hilarious dialogue but also because they looked rather... low budget... Anyway, brilliant poster as always!
Thanks! Glad you like Rory and Amy. Was the thing I was most concerned about with the design. After looking at it for a few days I can see what you mean about Melody/Mels/River on top there. I wanted to inject a little bit of colour into there as something different for this part of the series
The antibodies seemed a little last minute. And yes, unfortunately for a Doctor Who baddie they turned out to be a little too cute lol.
Hey...never feel bad. If you are good at what you do, people will pay good money. And you are good.
I recently got made redundant from my publishing job of 15 yrs. At first I saw it as a negative, but th time out of work is also making me realise I can spend time doing more of what I want to do. If you can do something you enjoy and also make a living from it, then way I see it, it's a plus.
I'm old enough to remember original Who, so for me, I think my interest wained after Tennant's departure. But I look forward to seeing more of your work soon
I recently finished nearly 19 years of being in education. Now I am in a part time job that pays my rent, but gives me time to concentrate on things like poster designs and film making and loads of stuff I have wanted to do for a while. Now I actually have the time to do it
After this series is over I may have to revisit some older Who. Might even spark a bit of design interest
